Internationally, postal operators are experiencing changing customer behaviour and electronic substitution; as a result they face increasing pressure to improve their efficiency from their stakeholders.  This is most apparent  in post office branch networks, where the need to build a sustainable business is driving postal executives to develop more innovative retail strategies.

Triangle’s Postal Access Forum is a membership group for postal retail specialists interested in sharing best practice, networking with other postal industry professionals and ultimately exploring ways to improve overall business performance.

For Triangle, Postal Retail describes the complete range of direct access channels used by private customers, SME businesses and small-volume corporate buyers of products and services provided by postal operators. Many posts now follow a multi-channel delivery strategy, with websites, self-service machines and smartphones complementing the traditional physical branch office.

The Postal Access Forum addresses such issues as:

  • Balancing USO requirements with the need for profitability
  • Putting a price on the value of the post office as a community service
  • Channel strategies and partnerships
  • The hidden costs of automation

Current members of the Group include some of the world’s leading national postal operators. To find out more about the benefits of being a member and why the current members joined the Group, click here.
