World Mail Award Shortlist Announced

The Awards recognise and reward excellence across all sectors of the postal industry worldwide. The winners will be announced during the gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Hotel President Wilson, Geneva on the 21^st May 2012, the opening night of the internationally recognised World Mail & Express Europe three day conference.

Alvaro Rodriguez Gutierrez has a degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, graduated from the University of Costa Rica. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Correos de Costa Rica, has a great career in public and private administration. He was president of the Board of the Costa Rica Bank, led the Puerto Limón City project with the Government of the Republic. He was Director and Vice President of the National Banana Corporation and consultant to the Union of Banana Exporting Countries.

Wagner Pinheiro de Oliveira has been the President of Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telegrafos since January 2011. Prior to his appointment he was the President of Petros, Petrobras social security foundation, a member of the transition team of the elected President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and the Financial Director of Banesprev (the Bank of Sao Paulo). He is also a member of a number of boards and associations.
