Mail & Express UK: How is it helping customers during recession?
For 2009, the Mail & Express Delivery Show (MEDS) conference is focused around the industry’s response to customers in the economic downturn.
MEDS will examine how the UK industry is coping with recession and what action it is taking to work in partnership with customers as the economic climate worsens. The programme will cover how management should react to these difficult commercial circumstances, including the new offerings that can successfully be brought to the market. It will also address a series of key issues, including the environmental challenges, which need to be considered during a recessionary period.
“The Mail & Express Delivery Show has become the one single event in a packed calendar that I simply refuse to miss. I get the chance to meet with most of the major suppliers, and discuss the issues and opportunities affecting the two industries with other professionals with similar responsibilities. No other single event offers me that facility”
Ian Phillips, Group Circulation Manager, EMAP
In line with the times, when everyone’s budgets and schedules are under even greater pressure, MEDS 2009 will be an intensive one-day show, allowing busy customers to spend time focusing on the topics of interest to them, whilst minimising their time out of the office. Customers may need to update themselves on the impact of regulation change, find ways to cut their costs or identify new suppliers at the accompanying exhibition.
“The number of companies present who generate significant volumes of mail and parcels was certainly impressive. Having a presence at this show will pay for itself many times over”
Rob Bradford, MD, Citipost
The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition of around 50 supplier stands, open exclusively to conference delegates.
