Strategies for Survival
The first international event specifically organised to address the
issues facing
senior executives in post office retail networks today.
The seminar, which was the first in a series of
retail-orientated events, presented an exciting opportunity for anyone
involved in post office retail networks, from the operator or supplier side,
to meet and discuss the most important issues facing you today.
Overview
The international Post Office networks industry finds itself at a
crucial stage in its development. With high fixed costs, overall sales
growth slowing and customers changing their buying habits, many Post Office
networks are considering reinventing themselves in order to survive.
Some Post Office networks are already innovating to become more efficient,
more attractive to customers and more aligned to modern consumers by
developing innovative services and embracing ecommerce.
Unlike their mail counterparts, Post Office networks are not competing for
the same business - all the more reason, therefore, to get together and
share ideas and network with each other for mutual benefit.
Triangle had identified the need for senior executives responsible
for Post Office networks to meet each other and the initial Retail Seminar
in London in May 2007 was the world’s first dedicated event to act as a
platform for large global retail brands and technology companies to showcase
the latest innovative products and services to this targeted audience.
Who Attended the event?
The seminar attracted an audience of senior directors and executives
from Postal Retail Networks throughout Europe and beyond – which included:
- Chairmen & Chief Executives
- Managing Directors
- Business Development & Marketing Directors
- Senior technical executives
- Communications and Brand Managers
