Organiser Triangle Management Services has announced that entries or
nominations can now be made for the 2006 World Mail Awards. Recognised
globally as the premier mail industry honours, these awards are now in
their seventh year, and will be presented to the winners at a black-tie
gala dinner in Paris on 10 May.
Entries and nominations are invited from any postal-related organisation
worldwide, large or small, including public or private postal operators,
industry suppliers or organisations servicing the mail market.
Applications can be made online using the specially-designed interactive
forms at
www.mailawards.com. All entries must be received by 28 February
2006.

In addition, the winner of the prestigious Industry
Leadership award will be determined by a special panel of distinguished
judges, but is not open to public entries.
With three new sponsors on board this year, the total of ten prizes to be
awarded on the night is the largest in the history of these honours. New
awards for Corporate Social Responsibility (sponsored by Deutsche Post
World Net) and People Management (Australia Post) have been introduced to
recognise the mailing industry's commitment to its workforce and to
society as a whole.
As well as these two companies, the full list of organisations supporting
this year’s awards includes Emirates Post, Geopost, Innovapost, Intermec,
ME-news, Pitney Bowes, Royal Mail and Spring. Further sponsorship
opportunities remain for the 2006 World Mail Awards – for more
information, interested parties should contact Triangle Sales Director
Nigel Ashton at

Triangle Chief Executive Neil Jackson is particularly pleased to welcome
the new sponsors and new awards for 2006: “The new categories reflect the
mailing industry's increasing recognition of corporate ethics and its
social responsibilities in the 21st century. Just as importantly, the
additional new sponsors demonstrate their commitment to excellence within
our industry. The World Mail Awards continue to grow from strength to
strength, and I am delighted that this year’s ceremony will be our biggest
and best ever.''
All categories will be judged by a panel of prestigious industry experts
from around the world. They will initially produce shortlists from the
entries received before meeting in Paris on the day of the awards ceremony
to select the winners. The 2006 World Mail Awards will be presented at the
Sofitel Forum Rive Gauche hotel in Paris on Wednesday 10 May, on the eve
of the World Mail & Express European conference at the same venue. The
industry's top performers will be rewarded for achievement, excellence and
best practice across a range of categories at a Gala Dinner attended by
over 300 of the leading figures in the global mail industry.
