3RD UK MAIL SUMMIT MOVES TO OLYMPIA, 13-14th November 2002 |
||
|
Triangle announces the 3rd UK Mail Summit, an event designed to bring all interested parties together to discuss and agree the way ahead for deregulation of the UK mail market. The theme of this event will be 'Competition - will it work?'. The conference could not be more timely as applications for seven year licences have to be with Postcomm, the UK regulator, by 1st January 2003. Major speakers will come from sponsors, Consignia, UK Mail, TPG and Deutsche Post and one of the highlights will be hearing from Bill Cockburn, former CEO of Royal Mail, now acting as deputy chairman of UK Mail. The conference, which has already become recognised as a major industry event and enjoys support from the majority of mail user associations, will focus on customer needs and in particular whether customers will divide their mail between the new operators and Royal Mail. Equally the new licence holders are questioning whether they are on a fool's errand. The conference will raise these and other significant questions and aim to give some of the answers.
