World Mail Awards 2004 Winners Announced |

Triangle are pleased to announce the winners of this year's World Mail Awards. Following a record level of applicants, this year's World Mail Awards, recognising excellence within the Postal sector, were presented to industry leaders on the eve of the World Mail & Express Europe Conference in Berlin. A panel of distinguished judges selected the recipients of the ten awards, covering Innovation, Enterprise, Customer Service, Marketing, Security, Technology, e-Commerce, Transformation, Quality and Industry Leadership. The panel met in Berlin during the afternoon before the Awards presentation dinner, to make their final decisions from an already short-listed pool of entrants. The World Mail Awards evening is organised annually by Triangle Management Services, to highlight, encourage, and celebrate best practice within the mail industry. Almost three hundred senior mail industry executives from around the world attended the Gala Dinner to congratulate the winners. Kristiane Backer, presenter, interviewer, TV anchor, journalist and reporter presented the awards along with representatives from the sponsor companies. The following companies were this year's awards winners: INNOVATION (Sponsored by Capgemini) Winner: DHL and KEBA AG for their use of Packstation to imrpove last mile parcel delivery CUSTOMER SERVICE (Sponsored by Innovapost) Winner: Masterlink Express for its Tailor Made Cash on Delivery service in Poland. ENTERPRISE (Sponsored by Spring) Winner: Jersey Post for its launch of Jersey Post Logistics. MARKETING (Sponsored by Triangle Management Services) Winner: USPS for its Simple Steps coaching tool, designed for newcomers to Direct Mail. SECURITY (Sponsored by Royal Mail) Winner: South African Post Office for its Code of Conduct Crime Awareness Campaign addressing human behaviour and ethics. e-COMMERCE (Sponsored by ME-news) Winner: Borderfree (a division of Canada Post) for its Borderfree for Merchants providing a one-stop-shop service. QUALITY (Sponsored by Deutsche Post World Net) Winner: Masterlink Express for its Cash On Delivery service in Poland.
