In less than two months a group of top Asian mail and express users will be joining the third World Mail & Express Asia Pacific conference in Hong Kong from the 16-17 November 2004. Customers will have their say in a special pre-conference seminar designed to feed into the main proceedings of this two-day high-level event. Neil Jackson, Chief Executive of Triangle Management Services, the organisers of the event, said, “Having customers present and listening to their views has proved an extremely rewarding part of the last few conferences Triangle has run. It certainly focuses the mind and hopefully the strategic thinking of the industry”. As well as listening to the customer viewpoints, the two-day conference is set to cover some challenging issues. Among the top line-up of speakers are: Georges Clermont, President & CEO, IPC; Dr Herbert-Michael Zapf, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Deutsche Post AG; Gordon Maher, Director, APPU; Lars Vesterlund, Vice President, International, Posten Sverige; Katsuyuki Okada, Executive Vice President, Japan Post, Steve Okun, Vice President Public Affairs, Asia Pacific region of UPS and many others. The following topics will be covered in the programme: Liberalisation; Postal and Express Reform; Regulation; The Digital Future; Future Customer Requirements; Mail and Express in 2010, plus leading initiatives and case studies from around the world.
