The UK's Post Offices - time's up

In response to the current debate about the future of the UK’s network of post offices, Triangle Management Services have published a paper which will be debated at The Post Office Retail Networks Forum on 19th November, at Olympia Conference Centre, London.

The report, written by Ian Senior, Associate Director, concludes that of 25 categories of post office business only 7 are not currently at risk. It analyses the proposals that have been made for the post offices’ network to reinvent itself, including those announced by Post Office Limited (POL) on 9 October in collaboration with the Bank of Ireland. These proposals have been endorsed by Postcomm in its report “Banking on the future” published in July.

This debate will be the first public forum to discuss these contentious issues, and the latest programme, along with Ian Senior’s paper, is available on Triangle’s website – www.triangle.eu.com. Recently confirmed speakers include TPG Post (who tried and failed with General Services) and the Association of Convenience Stores, highlighting the significance of this topic to both large and small organisations. In addition, overseas postal organisations will be giving case studies from their own experiences.

The forum is being run in conjunction with the UK Mail Show, which is being held at Olympia on 18th & 19th November. The summit includes a high-level conference programme with supporting exhibition, a networking dinner, and a series of partnership meetings to build and develop business relationships within the mail industry.
