European mail industry heading for Paris in Spring 2006

The luxurious Sofitel Forum Rive Gauche hotel in Paris has been chosen as the venue for next May's World Mail & Express European Conference. Returning to the beautiful French capital for the first time since 2000, the event on 11 and 12 May next year will be hosted by national postal service La Poste.

The annual World Mail Awards gala dinner will begin proceedings on the first evening, 10 May, when the industry's top performers will be rewarded for their excellence, innovation and best practice in ten categories. This will be followed by two days of debate, discussion and prime networking opportunities for all sections of the industry, all in the sumptuous surroundings of Sofitel's Forum Hotel on Paris' Left Bank.

Outside the main conference hall, seminars focussed on technology, airmail carriers and direct marketing will add to the attractions for the expected record number of visitors. The Paris event will also offer an adjoining display area where suppliers and operators will exhibit their latest products and services, as well as a number of more relaxed social events.

Top speakers from around the world
With regulatory change, post office ownership and operator performance hot topics throughout Europe at the moment, the next European summit in the World Mail & Express series will tackle these issues head on. Speakers from world-leading organisations such as La Poste, DHL Global Mail, Royal Mail and IBM are already lined up and many others will be confirmed in the next few months. Anyone interested in joining this list of speakers should get in touch with Triangle.

Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available and can be discussed with event organisers Triangle Management Services by contacting the Media Sales Director, Nigel Ashton, on +44 (0) 870 950 7900, or at nigel.ashton@triangle.eu.com.

More details on the Paris 2006 World Mail Awards and Mail & Express Conference can be found at www.triangle.eu.com/conferences.

The internationally-recognised World Mail & Express series of conferences has been held around the world since 1988 and in recent years has operated regionally, with events also focused on Asia Pacific, the Americas, Middle East and Africa as well as Europe. It provides a unique market place for the public and private sectors to meet and discuss the broader industry issues, seek partners and listen to customers. After the huge success of the 2005 summit in Brussels, the enticing promise of Paris in the springtime will bring the key decision-makers and stakeholders in European mail together to form another unmissable event.
