Final shortlist announced for UK Mail Awards

With the release of the Mail Centre of the Year shortlist, we now know the full line-up of those hoping to be successful at these prestigious awards.

The Mail Centre of the Year prize, sponsored by UK Mail, specifically rewards a Royal Mail centre that has made significant quality of service advances and can show a measurable impact on delivery performance. Using data audited by Postwatch to determine the 10 most improved Mail Centres across the country, each of these was invited to submit details of their performance to the judges. These submissions have now been assessed by the judging panel, and whittled down to a shortlist of three.

Those shortlisted for the 2005 Mail Centre of the Year award are:

  • Chelmsford Mail Centre

  • Shrewsbury Mail Centre

  • Watford Mail Centre

After a record level of entries from all sectors of the mailing industry for this year’s UK Mail Awards, the judges have pared these down to shortlists of 3 or 4 in each category – as well as Mail Centre of the Year, these categories are as follows:

Customer Service – sponsored by CMS Network
Database Management – sponsored by Royal Mail
Domestic Marketing Campaign of the Year – sponsored by DHL Global Mail
Innovation – sponsored by TNT Mail
International Marketing Campaign of the Year – sponsored by AMP Citipost
Technology – sponsored by Triangle Management Services

Just a few days left to book seats
The 2005 UK Mail Awards will be presented to the winners at the special Gala Dinner in London on Tuesday, 1st November, so there are only a few days left to book seats at the table. The ceremony is being held this year in the Palace Suite at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, at the end of the first day of The Mail Show. The evening will be hosted and winners announced by the renowned writer and broadcaster Frances Edmonds, one of Britain’s most celebrated after-dinner speakers and an award-winning entrepreneur in her own right.

Anyone who would like to join their colleagues for an enjoyable evening celebrating the best in the business should complete and return the registration form available at www.mailawards.com/ukma, contact the awards team at events@triangle.eu.com or call Triangle directly on 0870 950 7900.
