UAE Minister proud to welcome world's top Mail and Express executives to Dubai

February's World Mail & Express Logistics conference in Dubai is expected to attract even more top-level international delegates following the recent addition of a number of notable industry names to the speakers’ line-up.

In addition, United Arab Emirates' Minister for Government Sector Development H.E. Sultan Saeed Al Mansoori has noted the significance of the event, pointing out that he is ''proud to welcome some of the biggest experts and mail & express players'' to Dubai on 27-28 February. The Minister, who is also Chairman of host sponsor Emirates Post, went on to say that he hoped that the discussions ''will lead to greater interaction and co-operation among the world’s mail operators and present new ideas on how to enhance quality, efficiency and speed.''

The list of speakers passing on these new ideas has seen the addition of a number of major names in recent weeks. Albert Hernandez, CEO of SkyPostal, will join representatives of Saudi Post and Intermec in the Technology Update session chaired by Booz Allen Hamilton VP Alexander Niehues. TNT Express Group Director Kees Boef will share his views on the pros and cons of business alliances on the first morning, while senior representatives from supplier innovators Siemens, KEBA and Symbol Technologies feature in the afternoon programme.

Others confirmed to appear on the platform in Dubai over the two days include:
H.E. Dr Muhammad Benten, President, Saudi Post
Phil Couchman, Regional Director, DHL Middle East
Khalil Daoud, Chairman & Managing Director, Liban Post
Fadi Ghandour, President & CEO, Aramex International
Hamdi Osman, VP Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent, FedEx
Michael Proffitt, Chief Executive, Dubai Logistics City
Paul Vogel, Managing Director & Senior VP, USPS

In all, more than 30 Chairmen, CEO and senior director speakers will be concentrating on strategies to grow the market in this vital developing region while also looking at successes and sharing best practice in the mail and express logistics sector around the world.

The programme for the event includes presentations from 2006 World Mail Award winners on the secrets of their success, a Middle-Eastern flavoured Gala Dinner and an exhibition area where the major industry suppliers and operators will be displaying their latest products and services for delegates to browse at their leisure.

Emirates Post Director General Abdulla Al Daboos reinforced the Minister's words, adding ''At Emirates Post, we take pride in hosting major industry events because they facilitate networking among global and regional players and help organisations learn from each other. Participants will be able to interact with industry leaders as well as keep track of new developments in the mail & express industry. Emirates Post is looking forward to welcoming the delegates at the World Mail & Express event because it will help us explore new partnerships as well as reveal our ambitious growth plans.''

World Mail & Express Logistics 2007 in Dubai on 27-28 February will provide the best opportunity of the year in this region to hear top-level speakers sharing their ideas and experiences. The event also offers a host of high calibre international delegates and networking prospects second-to-none in this industry.
