The Novotel London West hotel and conference centre in Hammersmith will be the venue for this gathering of key decision-making executives for the 27th World Mail and Express event on 22-23 May 2007. Royal Mail will be the event’s Host Sponsor, with others including Intermec, Neopost, Swiss Post and Spring already on board as supporting sponsors.

Following postal liberalisation at the beginning of 2006, the UK will have valuable lessons for other European countries likely to experience dramatic changes in the near future, and related topics will feature strongly at the conference. A varied programme of critical debate, high-level discussion and unmissable networking opportunities for all sections of the industry is sure to attract senior delegates from across Europe, as well as those from outside the region with an interest in its development.

World Mail & Express Europe 2007, expected to be the biggest event since this series started in 1988, will also include the first World Postal Retail Networks Seminar on Monday 21 May. This one-day convention will give senior executives responsible for Post Office networks worldwide the chance to meet each other and will offer a dedicated platform for large global retail brands and technology companies to showcase the latest innovative products and services to a targeted audience.

Chief Technical Officers, IT Directors and senior mail and express executives with an interest in the future technical development of their organisations are also invited to the Technology Seminar on Monday 21 May. High-level decision-makers whose roles are focused on this area of the mail and express industry will be able to hear a range of solutions providers present their latest developments and discuss state-of-the-art innovations with their international counterparts.

Outside the main conference hall throughout the event, the adjoining display area will showcase new products, technology and services. The annual World Mail Awards gala dinner will be held on the eve of the conference, with the industry’s top performers rewarded for their excellence, innovation and best practice across a range of categories.

The internationally-recognised World Mail & Express series of conferences has been held around the world since 1988 and in recent years has operated regionally, with events focused on Asia Pacific, the Americas, Middle East and Africa as well as Europe. It provides a unique market place for the public and private sectors to meet and discuss the broader industry issues, seek partners and listen to customers. After the success of the 2006 event in Paris, Europe’s most influential decision-makers and stakeholders will again convene in London for another important event in the industry calendar.
