The Mail & Express Delivery Show is the ultimate UK event for the post and parcels industry, bringing together as it does operators, high volume customers and suppliers to the industry. The 2008 show saw over 400 delegates at the high profile event and for 2009 the organisers are expecting even higher numbers. Neil Jackson, Chief Executive of Triangle explained “Like every other industry, the mail and express sectors are having a difficult time in the current economic climate. MEDS gives suppliers the opportunity to keep close to their customers and prospect for new ones, whilst allowing customers the opportunity to benchmark their suppliers, review new services and initiatives and update themselves on regulatory factors that may affect their operations. The response from the industry since we announced the date of the show has been fantastic and we are looking forward to a top quality event”.
The show will feature a leading line-up of industry speakers, including regulators such as Tim Brown – Chief Executive, Postcomm, suppliers such as David Smith – Managing Director, Parcelforce Worldwide and customers such as Angie Foong, Country Product Manager, eBay UK, amongst 35 presenters at the show. The content is arranged in eight different sessions to allow attendees to pick the topics that are of interest to them.
There is also a simultaneous exhibition showcase allowing companies to promote new and existing products to this important and influential audience. New for 2009 is a dedicated area within the exhibition, called Mailing Central, which focuses exclusively on the many mailing houses, consultants and advisors who are there to help customers select the right supplier for their needs.
With an impressive line-up of customers registered, including many household names (such as Abbey, Boden, Capital One, Insight, John Lewis, Office Depot, Orange, Redcats, RS Components & Virgin Media), MEDS 2009 is set to reinforce its position as the most important event of its type in the UK. The show takes place at the Novotel London West on 16 June 2009.
