Senior figures including the chief executives of Pos Indonesia, Thailand Post, PhilPost, Pos Malaysia and SingPost will be speaking at the World Mail and Express Asia Pacific conference in Indonesia to consider how a new global model is emerging for the industry.

The World Mail and Express events are an excellent opportunity for education and networking with others in the industry. With an outstanding line up of industry leaders, it’s an event not to be missed and there is still time to exhibit or book your attendance at this prestigious event

With postal operators around the world seeing a general decline in letter volumes but a massive boom in parcel volumes thanks to the soaring popularity of e-commerce, the event from 4th to 6th November will highlight new strategies on how to take advantage of the situation.

Forecasts suggest that parcel growth in the Asia Pacific region will outpace the rest of the world by 2020. Host sponsor, Pos Indonesia’s President Director Budi Setiawan said he will be sharing the lessons from his company’s “revolutionary transformation” as it has worked to diversify its service portfolio and improve the nation’s mail and express services.

Setiawan will be keynote speaker at an event that will also hear from
• Thailand Post President Anusra Chittmittrapap
• Pos Malaysia Group Chief Executive Iskandar Mizal Mahmood
• SingPost Chief Executive Wolfgang Baier and
• Philpost Chief Executive Josefina M Dela Cruz.

“I believe Pos Indonesia will be able to benefit from learning about the various achievements in the mail and express industry of the participating world players,” said Setiawan.

“Mail and express operators in Asia Pacific will enthusiastically join the event in order to promote their specific advantages and also to assess collaboration or co-opetition approaches in the very attractive mail and express market.”

This year’s World Mail and Express Asia Pacific conference will also hear from speakers including Shuji Obu, the Senior Executive officer at Japan Post, former New Zealand Post Chief Executive and Deutsche Post Supervisory Board Member Elmar Toime and the Chairman and Managing Director of LibanPost.

The event is part of the long-established series of regional World Mail and Express events for the global mail and express industry as organised by UK-based firm Triangle Management Services, the company behind the prestigious World Mail Awards.

Neil Jackson, the Chief Executive of Triangle, said partnering with Pos Indonesia for this year’s Asia Pacific conference meant taking the World Mail and Express conference to the region’s fastest growing market for e-commerce, a key driver for postal and express companies alike.

Jackson said: “Recognising the huge potential for business growth in Indonesia and the rest of the Asia Pacific at the moment, this year’s World Mail and Express conference will see some of the top minds in the industry getting together to turn challenges into opportunities, weaving together global experience and expertise with local insight to find real solutions.”

The World Mail and Express Conference and Exhibition takes place at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel in Bali, Indonesia, from 4-6 November 2013. For more details about the event visit the website at www.triangle.eu.com/aspac or contact Natalie.Ryan@triangle.eu.com or call +44 (0)1628 642 910.
