Triangle News

Taking place on 31 October and 1 November at the Novotel Hotel & Convention Centre in West London, The Mail Show 2006 has a roster of platform speakers and session chairmen which reads like a Who’s Who of the postal industry in the UK – amongst those already confirmed are the senior executives from, for example, Royal Mail, DHL, TNT Post, Business Post, Postcomm, Secure Mail Services, the Mail Users and the Periodical Publishers Associations. In addition, BBC Business presenter Declan Curry and Postal Services Minister Jim Fitzpatrick MP, as well as a number of other senior customers, suppliers and international postal industry figures, will be on the podium during the conference.

Under the theme of ”New Competitive Realities”, The Mail Show 2006 will put the spotlight on a UK mail market that it is now fully open to competition. Speakers will address the needs of customers in the newly-liberalised market, especially direct mailers, publishers and transactional mailers. There will also be important sessions on what is happening to stimulate market growth, on product and service innovation and on the international market.

Mail Buyers’ Workshop
In an exciting new development for this year’s Mail Show, organisers Triangle have introduced workshop sessions where mail buyers at all levels can get ‘hands on’ insights into the practical implications for them of such developments as downstream access and consolidation. These workshops will allow customers and other delegates to quiz the operators on what really makes them believe they have something different to offer. There will also be lots of practical guidance to help mailers to make informed choices between Royal Mail and its competitors.

Panel discussions
In addition, the conference agenda includes panel discussions, where representatives of specific sectors such as customer bodies and industry CEOs will be in the hotseat, and feedback from The Mail Show’s Customer Forum, highlighting the current issues and concerns of a broad spectrum of the mail industry’s most important members.

As always, The Mail Show will be the primary networking opportunity of the year for the most influential and important executives in the UK’s postal industry. Operators, suppliers and customers will meet to discuss the issues, make new contacts and build important alliances for the year ahead, and anyone wishing to attend this year’s event is encouraged to book their place online at https://www.triangle.eu.com/themailshow.

A few exhibition spaces are still available – anyone interested in displaying their latest products or services before 400 of the country’s most influential postal executives should contact Triangle’s Sales Director, Nigel Ashton, at mailto:nigel.ashton@triangle.eu.com.

Major customers of the mailing industry are eligible to a free delegate place for the whole two-day conference (including a free seat at the UK Mail Awards Gala Dinner) – those interested in requesting a complimentary place should email mailto:paul.trott@triangle.eu.com.

All of the above can be contacted at Triangle by telephone on 0870 950 7900, while the latest on the Conference programme, delegate registration and other information is at https://www.triangle.eu.com/themailshow.
